Alan Silva, steering committee chair and assistant vice president and dean of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Sciences(SHAS) and College for Women, announced to faculty and staff at the annual Faculty-Staff Opening Workshop in August that Lynda Szymanski, associate dean of SHAS, and Brian Fogarty, professor of sociology, will co-author the self-study report.
The presentation at the University's faculty-staff opening workshops engaged the campus community in a discussion of the Higher Learning Commission criteria that the University must address in its self-study. The workshop resulted in 16 pages of comments and suggestions from members of the community that will help the committee prepare for the site visit in early 2013.
